A Little Earring Goes A Long Way

I often think the best way to make a statement is a good accessory. Whether it’s a bag, some fancy glasses, or jewellery. Accessories are a great way to dress up a plain outfit and make it something completely different. The great thing is there is so much amazing jewellery and accessories out there- that you don’t have to pay a lot of money for and which will really make you look like a million bucks.

27 Days and Counting!

Howdy!

Whether we like it or not the holidays are here and we have less then a month until Christmas! (Yikes, insert mild panic attack here). Yesterday I was doing a little searching around the internet to get some ideas and came across some of the “hottest” gifts for this holiday season that I thought I’d share with you all (and hopefully give you some help!). So here are the items that definitely make my wishlist:

1. Super glam and fabulous cross body bags. I am currently in love with this elegant, yet gothic House of Harlow Rey Bag. Its perfect for an evening out or just for dressing up a simple outfit.

2. Funky smartphone cases! Now there is a good present idea. I wouldn’t mind this adorable Marc by Marc Jacobs case for my iPhone. Practical, but stylish at the same time. You can find other really great cases at Shopbop.com!

3. Cool stick-on wall decals. This is a great present because there are so many to choose from and they can really spruce up a room, especially if you have very neutral walls, and the person can choose where they want to put it! I especially love this tree decal from Urban Outfitters! It would definitely be a great addition!

4. Wrap watches are back on trend and can be the perfect accessory to any outfit! It’s even better if you are able to change the band and make it different each time you wear it. I’m 100% in need of this beautiful and charming watch from Le Mer.

5. Instant cameras! The polaroid is back and cool! And what better way to capture your memories and have them in and instant! I know I wouldn’t mind have this stylish Polaroid Instant Camera Pic300, in a variety of colours!

hot child in the country.

hello out there!

so as most of you can probably guess i am way more of a city girl then a country fan, but over the long weekend i had the pleasure of visiting a friends cottage up north and i must admit it was quite lovely.

although it was a little hard to wear my new brogue lace-up pumps from marc by marc jacobs i did get good use of my new hunters (in very berry!)!

while i was at the cottage i experienced something that i often don’t get…peace and quiet. not that i don’t love my busy life, but i’m always doing something! over the weekend i got to spend time my good friends, reflect on my life and my goals and think about what i really wanted.

where i stayed all weekend!

i am going to take septmber as a fresh new start and make sure that i do one thing a day that i really love. whether that is taking more time to do my hot yoga, or reading my new fav book (currently the help by kathryn stockett) it’s so important to take some you time every day!

i encourage you all to day the same! the weekend was definitely just what i needed and i have come to appreciate nature much more! now for this week…TIFF! stay tuned i will definitely be out and about.
